Commercial Roofing Service Manager available at: 

Summary of Position: Under the general direction of Executive Management, Service Managers oversee and manage all facets of the service department. Service Managers start a job with scheduling the work order and complete the job by billing the job and following up to ensure payment. Knowledge of the installation, replacement, and repair of commercial, low-slope and steep-slope roof systems is necessary for this position. It is essential that Service Managers understand and follow all safety policies of Bulldog Group, Inc., and help with the implementation of the policies by ensuring that Service Foremen and Service Helpers understand and follow the Bulldog Group, Inc. safety policies as well.          


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage Service Foremen and Service Helpers by scheduling their days using FCS (scheduling software) and communicating clear expectations for their work standards;

  • Accurately obtain customer information for leak calls and small jobs so that the best estimate is given and to ensure bills are sent to the correct locations;

  • Collections;

  • Hiring and firing of service personnel;

  • Accurately estimate costs associated with small jobs and service work;

  • Submit proposals to customers in a timely manner;

  • Keep detailed records of work performed;

  • Keep warehouse stocked with materials for service crews;

  • Effectively communicate-in a timely manner with customers and co-workers;

  • Follow up with customers/building owners to ensure timely payment of invoices;

  • Fully understand Bulldog Group, Inc. Safety Policies and assist with effective implementation. 

 

Reports to: Executive Company Management

SupervisesService Foremen, Service Helpers

 

Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Service Managers must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle.

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Must have the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • The ability to delegate tasks and manage people is important.

  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

  • Service Managers must have the ability to safely ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and/or stairs on a daily basis.

  • The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check. 

  • A motor vehicle report will be run annually.
